The ultimate goal of this program is to place the child in a loving permanent home. Re-uniting the child with their birth parents is the first priority. If this is not possible, we work towards permanent placement through adoption or legal guardianship.
We provide bilingual services to children of all ages who are living with foster parents because they have been removed from the home of their birth parents by DCFS for abuse or neglect. Arden Shore works with the children, the foster parents, the birth parents, and the courts. We make sure that the children are doing well and their needs met while working with the birth parents to address the reason why the child needed to come into foster care.
Specifically, Arden Shore works to ensure the children are receiving proper day to day care including care- giving, schooling, tutoring, and housing. We also offer counseling for the children, foster parents and birth parents, advocate on behalf of the children at court, provide 24-hour crisis intervention, monitor the foster home, and refer birth parents to places where they can get help for issues that are inhibiting them from being reunited with their children.
